Lying Barbell Triceps Extension

In the gym where I train there work because the gym will be enlarged to 700 m2 (7534 ft2), that’s cool. I can’t wait to see how the gym will become after the work. For now, the work doesn’t interfere with my training, it’s excellent.

Today was chest – triceps – calves. There is an triceps exercise I begin to like, it’s the Lying Barbell Triceps. I do it on the bench press but I stand upside down. I put my butt where you put your head so I can use safety catches when I do the exercise to failure.

Lying Barbell Triceps Extension

Lie down on the bench. Take the barbell with a tight grip, hands with pronated grip (palms up). Arms straight, bring the barbell over your head. Bent your arms to touch your forehead with the barbell, keeping your elbows motionless. Bring the barbell back to the starting position. Slow down to avoid hitting your forehead with the barbell. Using an pronated grip (palms up) and not supinated grip (palms to your face) because if the barbell slips, it’s in your face !

I had difficulty at first with this exercise, I had even replaced by another for a while but when do it again, I’ve realized that this is an excellent triceps exercise.
